Factory Operative - Packing - Day Shift - Red Shift Wed-Sat week 1 / Thurs-Sat week 2 06:00 - 18:00 £13.03 per hour.

Here at Spalding, we have a team of around 540 colleagues. We produce coleslaw, potato salad, salad bar bulk products (2kg), pasta salads and couscous/grains for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Morrisons, Co-op, Asda, Aldi, Sainsbury's, Nando's and Pizza Hut. Our Spalding site has a restaurant with hot food available to all our colleagues.
What you will be doing:
- As a Factory Operative, you will be responsible for the preparation of the production lines.
- Batching and weighing of ingredients into large bins, whilst filling out all checks.
- Ensuring the team are working to their maximum potential as well as ensuring that the machinery is working consistently and correctly.
- Monitoring production to help attain KPIs for productivity and efficiency.
- Tasks may involve:
- Batch weighing ingredients
- Packing products to standard expected
- Performing regular quality checks to finished products
- Preparing products for despatch
What we are looking for:
- Experience working within a food manufacturer preferred
- Good Literacy and Numeracy skills
- Problem solving skills
- Good communicator and ability to work in a team
- Allergen awareness
- L2 Food Safety is preferred but not essential
