Overview
In this role you will manage planned maintenance activities and ensure safety, compliance, and high equipment availability within a fast-moving FMCG environment. You will drive maintenance planning with CMMS, coordinating with Operations, Technical, and Supply Chain teams to meet service targets. The role focuses on continuous improvement and effective resource use, contributing to Greencore's mission of making every day taste better. Responsibilities
- Control planned departmental activities to meet maintenance standards, statutory compliance, and health & safety while maximizing equipment availability
- Support CMMS adoption by guiding and training maintenance team members
- Use CMMS to translate work requests and labor into feasible plans balancing operational needs
- Manage planning risks and adjust work orders to meet customer service and stock targets
- Communicate maintenance plans with Operations, Technical, and Supply Chain teams
- Propose and implement improvement initiatives within the area of responsibility
- Organise, plan, schedule, and control all planned maintenance and engineering activities
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to maximise equipment availability and resource use
- Chair daily meetings and develop/review departmental KPIs with Engineering Management
- Maintain daily maintenance records, including activities, parts used, and follow-up actions
- Schedule and manage contractor activities, ensuring safe site conditions and compliance with safety protocols
- Comply with Health & Safety and Hygiene policies; perform ad-hoc duties
Key requirements
- GCSE level education or equivalent experience in an engineering environment
- FMCG knowledge with experience in a fast-paced, seasonal setting
- Experience in engineering and contractor deployment/management
- Strong attention to detail and prioritisation abilities
- Analytical thinking with an assertive, proactive mindset
- Experience with computers, including CMMS systems
