Role Purpose: To enable the successful delivery and adoption of change through the effective design, delivery, and tracking of business change activities and interventions.
Key Accountabilities:
- Design, deliver, and evaluate interventions to build change maturity across the organisation as a key enabler for the successful implementation of change.
- Assess, understand, and develop the change capability to support the delivery of specific initiatives by developing a skilled team of change champions across a cross-functional network of colleagues.
- Define and implement the business change approach and plan for specific initiatives, ensuring use of the agreed business change framework and alignment with the initiative project plan.
- Develop high-level and detailed impact assessments and ensure the impacts are effectively communicated to all key stakeholders.
- Assess the overall impact of change and develop solutions to ensure the changes can be successfully implemented.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis and develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans, ensuring alignment of activities with other initiatives.
- Develop and implement plans to achieve readiness for go live, working with business areas to track local readiness and launch communication plans.
- Conduct readiness assessments to identify further actions needed.
- Conduct training needs analysis and ensure this is translated into appropriate content and materials.
- Develop the training approach and work with the training and development lead to ensure consistency and alignment of training content.
- Identify potential risks, areas requiring escalation or obstacles that may derail change and communication plans and put in place mitigating actions or escalate as appropriate.
- Ensure the effectiveness of change and communication is evaluated and plans are adapted based on feedback and insights.
Skills and Experience Required:
Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of project and change management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PROSCI, ADKAR).
- Setting and aligning business change activities to a project/programme plan.
- Risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Reasonable understanding of technology.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Skills in effective stakeholder management and conflict resolution.
- Expertise in business change planning and execution.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in risk management.
- Proficiency in the use of M365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, Teams).
Experience:
- Proven experience in leading business change across large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects or programmes.
- Experience delivering development focused workshops and interventions to support change capability and maturity.
- Experience working alongside business and IT colleagues and demonstrating a reasonable understanding of technology.
