Location is flexible as you will be covering multiple depots.

What You\’ll Be Doing

As our Automation Projects Manager – Warehousing, you\’ll be at the forefront of shaping the future of logistics across the Group. You\’ll lead the design and development of cutting-edge automation solutions, working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver impactful, scalable systems.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to scope, design, and document automation projects.

  • Create detailed User Requirement Specifications (URS) and Capital Request documentation.

  • Identify and evaluate suppliers, maintaining a robust network of automation partners.

  • Develop bespoke automation solutions aligned with Group strategy and ROI targets.

  • Support project handovers to the Capital Projects Team and future deployments.

  • Maintain a pipeline of automation initiatives to drive continuous improvement.

  • Engage with site leadership teams to ensure alignment and adoption.

  • Work with Procurement and Opex teams to identify benefits and secure funding.

What We\’re Looking For

  • Degree-level education or equivalent in a relevant field.

  • 3+ years\’ experience in warehouse automation.

  • Strong understanding of WMS and ERP systems.

  • Proven track record in designing and implementing automation solutions.

  • Commercial acumen and ability to assess cost-effectiveness.

  • Familiarity with Health & Safety compliance for equipment.

  • CAD software experience (preferred).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project tools.

  • Ability to influence and engage senior leadership teams.
