Here at Wisbech, we have a team of 525 colleagues and manufacture premium chilled ready to cook meals for major retailers such as Sainsbury’s, Aldi and Co-op.
What you\’ll be doing
As a Team Leader you will manage, organise and control all activities within your section of the factory. You will assign and organise staff alongside managing productivity and performance ensuring the achievement of the required service levels and performance results.
- You will walk the floor of the production area and manage start-up procedures, receiving a handover from the previous shift and ensuring there is no excess or shortage of labour in the production areas.
- Constructively challenge performance of area – quality, throughput rate and crew size.
- Effectively audit daily technical paperwork.
- Assist First Line Coordinator in DWOR completion.
- Attend daily taste panel as required and follow through any actions
- Document handover for oncoming shift and ensure production area is left in a clean and safe condition.
- Review Productivity and NME Losses Graph to identify opportunities for improvement
- Identify performance management / training requirements within the area and manage the process / delivery
What We’re Looking For
- Supervisory experience
- Understand how to maintain a team within a manufacturing environment
- Food or wider FMCG Manufacturing Experience is desirable
- Good level of English & Maths
- Basic understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene
- Ability to work unsupervised.
