Days - Monday to Friday 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm alternates each week.

Here in Consett, we have a team of around 280 colleagues. We produce a range of chilled ready meals for some of the UK's leading retailers, including Co-op, Sainsbury's and Weight Watchers.

Day shift - £12.16 per hour.

What you'll be doing:

  • In this role you will be required to make sure that all raw materials needed are ready for production, liaise with purchasing in regards to stocks and deliveries and you will also be required to use system 21 for all stock movements.
  • Picking items to meet production requirements.
  • Performing stock rotation and counts to make sure levels are accurate.
  • Taking in deliveries when they arrive on site.
  • Booking through deliveries and warehouse movements using System 21.
  • General housekeeping, helping to ensure things run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Working at different temperatures in our warehouse, chill store, ambient area and freezer.
  • Working Monday to Friday Rotating Days (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00).

What we're looking for:

  • Any individual applying for the role must be hard working, have good time keeping, must work well as a team but also as an individual and good communication is vital to the role.
  • The successful applicant will be paired up with another trained operative until capable of working unassisted.
  • Experience is not essential however some knowledge of the Stores department would be massively beneficial.
  • Good communication skills are vital to the role.
  • FLT licences for both Reach and Counterbalance are desired but not essential.
