Days - Monday to Friday 7am-3pm / 3pm-11pm alternates each week
Rate of Pay - £12.33 per hour
Here in Consett, we have a team of around 280 colleagues. We produce a range of chilled ready meals for some of the UK's leading retailers, including Co-op, Sainsbury's and Weight Watchers.
What you’ll be doing
- Prepare ingredients as instructed by the Senior Operator
- Mixing parts of meals such as rice mixes in tumblers, ensuring that machines used are cleaned accordingly after each use.
- Assist with setting up the production lines
- Collecting the correct ingredients and equipment from chilled and packaging stores to multiple lines timely and efficiently
- Making sure that the correct utensils are being used for meat/veg/allergen meals, to prevent cross-contamination
What we’re looking for
- Experience working within a food manufacturer preferred
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Problem solving skills
- Good communicator and ability to work in a team
- Allergen awareness
- L2 Food Safety is preferred but not essential
