What you'll be doing:
- Provide a complete Food Safety and Quality Assurance function to various departments.
- Ensure that all products are manufactured safely and hygienically from the best quality raw materials to the highest possible quality standards.
- Be responsible for ensuring weights, temperatures, dates, and labels are correct on our products.
- Be aware of any new products, changes to specifications, and promotions from our customers.
- Ensure that colleagues on the production line follow company procedures and customer specifications.
- Identify when work is inaccurate and take corrective actions.
- Comply with all technical and safety procedures to ensure the products supplied are safe and legal in accordance with current legislation including HACCP.
What we're looking for:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, chilled environment.
- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment.
- A keen eye for detail and ability to demonstrate working in a safe manner.
- Experience working within a team of 10 or more.
- Able to manage the team and follow management instructions and procedures.
- Good level of numeracy and literacy skills both verbal and written.
- Basic awareness of Health and Safety.
- Competent using Microsoft Office (intermediate in MS Excel).
- Strong team player with ability to work independently.
