As an Intake QA, you will play a key role in ensuring that all raw materials and packaging received on site meet the required food safety, quality and legal standards before entering production.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out intake inspections on raw materials, ingredients and packaging to ensure compliance with specification requirements.
- Completing intake checks, audits and quality assessments in line with site procedures and customer requirements.
- Monitoring and recording temperatures, product quality attributes and delivery compliance.
- Identifying and reporting any non-conformances, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken and documented.
- Working closely with Goods In, Warehouse, Production and Technical teams to ensure issues are escalated and resolved promptly.
- Collecting and submitting samples for microbiological, nutritional and quality testing in accordance with sampling schedules.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all documentation is completed to a high standard.
- Supporting investigations relating to raw material, packaging and supplier quality concerns.
- Assisting with supplier audits, customer audits and site visits when required.
- Ensuring GMP, HACCP, Food Safety and Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Supporting continuous improvement activities across the Technical and Quality functions.
- Providing technical support and guidance to operational teams regarding intake quality requirements.
