The predicted salary is between 13 - 13 £ per hour.

Shift & Pay: 4 on 4 off – Day Shift – 7am to 7pm, £13.19 per hour.

What you’ll be doing:

  • As a Hygiene Operative, you will undertake all aspects of cleaning all food manufacturing areas, equipment and machinery to meet food hygiene standards.
  • You will be carrying out the consistent application of hygiene within a given area/line to ensure the area is maintained to the agreed standards.
  • It is part of your job to ensure all sanitation processes are completed in full and that hygiene standards for a given area are maintained during the production shift.
  • Carry out daily cleaning of all areas of the factory as part of a team.
  • Schedule deep cleaning of large machinery.
  • Wear full PPE (chemical suit, visor, wellingtons, gloves and safety goggles).
  • Work in chilled and hot environments.
  • Fill out paperwork to document the cleans.
  • Promote a good health and safety culture within the workplace.
  • Use and store chemicals.
  • Report any damaged equipment or machinery.

  • Experience working in a hygiene based role is essential.
  • Health & Safety Level 2.
  • Food Safety Level 2.
  • COSHH awareness.
  • Willingness to learn and train in different areas on site.
  • Ability to follow written instructions.
  • Good eye for detail to achieve inspection and cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work on own for periods of time.
