What you’ll be doing

The Asset Care Managerprovides businesssupportand strategicdirection for sites inexecuting the organisation’s asset management vision.

This role supports delivery ofthe long-term strategy to maximisetheassetlife cycle and value defined by the business.

The rolesupportsdelivery ofthe asset management vision and long-term strategy to maximise asset availability, safety, compliance, sustainability, and whole-life value across the manufacturing estate.

It supports the implementation of CBM / predictive maintenancetechniquesas defined by the head of asset management.

The role will use life cycle asset management techniques toidentifyand support the implementation of asset or asset system decisions which support the business goals andobjectives, delivering the required value at the lowest total cost of ownership.

  • Role Accountabilities
  • Reporting directlyto the Head of Asset Management
  • Support the delivery ofthe asset management strategyto ensurebusiness growth, operational resilience, food safety, and sustainabilityobjectives.

Providesupport and directionon asset-related risk, capital allocation, and lifecycle optimisationaligned with the organisationalobjectives.

  • Support sites in thedevelopmentof standardised preventive, predictive, and reliability-based maintenance strategies across all manufacturing sites, alignedwith group targets and financial plans.
  • Support sites in understanding and working tothegroupasset management governance framework, policies, and standards, ensuring alignment with ISO 55001and consistent application across all sites.
  • Completion of each site’s maturity assessment with the site engineering leads.

From the maturity assessment, create a defined roadmap against the SAMP, to be agreed and delivered by the site engineering leads.

  • Monitor sites against the CMMS standard ensuring full compliance.

Audit sites against the group Asset Information & Data Strategy, ensuring value added inputs and outputs, with documented evidence of outcomes and improvement opportunities.

  • Support delivery of the SAMP through asset criticalityanalysis, FMECA(developing the right maintenance plans), and risk management frameworks.

Ensure high-criticality asset risks areidentified, controlled, and mitigated to protect food safety, service, and compliance.

  • Support the delivery ofasset managementtrainingacross the organisation through structured training, coaching, and deployment of best practices.
  • Identify, manage, mitigateanysignificant high critical asset failure within theorganization, considering the principles set out in the SAMP.
  • Monitor site performance against the group SAMP KPI’s, creating a clear action plan where improvement is needed.
  • What we’re looking for
  • Educated to degree level in Engineering (BEng, BSc, MEng, Ph D) or has served and completed engineering apprenticeship
  • Held amanagementpositionrelating to asset care
  • Knowledge of full Asset Care strategies and processes (maintenance workflow, reliability, failure reduction, TPM, etc.)
  • Experienced in successful system deployment, including Industry 4.0 technologies across multiple sites.
  • Experienceworking with CMMS systems.
  • Experience in drivingchange management
  • Regulatory compliance and risk management
  • Application of asset management strategies
  • Coaching of reliability techniques
  • The ability to apply continuous improvement techniques and quantify asset, assetsystemand asset management activity-related risks with mitigation options
  • Experience in food, FMCG, pharmaceutical, chemical, or regulated process industries
