Following the combination with Bakkavor in January 2026, we're one of the UK's leading creators of convenience food, driven by a simple purpose: to make every day taste better.

As a vibrant and fast-moving business, we're proud to employ over 28,000 talented colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots in the UK and the US.

Together, we bring delicious food to life.

Our products cover every meal occasion from breakfast through to dinner and dessert, with lunch and snacking in between.

In FY25, our shared passion helped us achieve combined revenues of approximately £4bn.

Our extensive direct-to-store (DTS) network, with 17 depots across the UK, allows us to deliver fresh and frozen food, both our own and from trusted partners, to thousands of stores every day, ensuring consumers enjoy the very best, whenever and wherever they shop.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Insight Manager to join our Insight Team within our newly developed Commercial Strategy Team.

This pivotal role will support our business-wide consumer and shopper Insight function, working with multiple stakeholders across Greencore and ensuring insight plays a clear role in shaping evidence-led business decisions.

What You'll Be Doing

As a go-to Insight partner for our Category Management team and wider business stakeholders, you'll advocate for the shopper and consumer, shaping our thinking and influencing decisions to ensure consumers are at the heart.

Operating in a fast-paced environment, you'll translate consumer, shopper and market evidence into meaningful insight that helps colleagues and customers act confidently.

Key responsibilities include: Support Greencore's Insight Lead, helping to uncover and embed insight across the business.

  • Act as a trusted business advisor on consumers and shoppers delivering compelling insight outputs with clear messages, strong narratives and actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with Category Managers to provide credible, consumer-centric rationale for customer engagement and business decisions.
  • Use primary, secondary, internal and external data sources to understand evolving consumer and shopper needs and behaviour and identify strategic implications for Greencore.
  • Support key strategic insight workstreams, ensuring outputs are commercially relevant, clearly structured and aligned to business priorities.
  • Own and manage ad-hoc tactical research requests, from clarifying objectives through to designing and delivering primary research and impactful de-briefs.
  • Experiment with AI and emerging tools to improve efficiency across the end-to-end insight process, while maintaining quality and rigour.
  • Work with incumbent agency partners to deliver high-quality primary research, from briefing and proposal review through to fieldwork, debriefs and sharing outputs across the business.
  • Engage with new agencies and industry bodies to ensure Greencore is leading in consumer, shopper and research best practice.
  • Support on regular Insight reporting, including the monthly Greencore Consumer Report and 'Greencore Views On' topics.
  • Support the Insight Lead in developing consumer drivers, insight frameworks, narratives and resources that land clearly across the business and support strategic planning.
  • Manage the internal insight library and associated training, ensuring self-serve resources are easy to access, understand and apply effectively.

This role will involve travel for internal meetings and visits to customers and agency partners, and therefore you must have a full UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle and be willing to travel, with the occasional requirement for overnight stays.

What We're Looking For

If you're captivated by the intricacies of human behaviour, passionate about consumer insight and motivated by using evidence to drive better business decisions in fast-paced environments, we'd love to hear from you.

  • You will be skilled at gathering, collating, analysing, connecting and interpreting information from multiple sources, using strong analytical reasoning to generate relevant, actionable consumer and shopper insights.
  • You'll bring expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with the ability to select the right approach, apply best practice and translate findings into meaningful business messages.

A demonstrable background in successfully managing research projects is essential.

Experience of managing collaborative agency relationships would also be useful.

  • You'll be curious and experimental in your approach to AI, proactively exploring how it can increase efficiency across the entire insight process, from research design through to analysis, storytelling and knowledge sharing.
  • You'll be proactive and passionate about people, with good commercial acumen and a clear understanding of the business drivers that shape decision-making.
  • You will have strong influencing, presentation and communication skills, with the ability to build compelling insight narratives and articulate findings to all levels of stakeholders with clarity, confidence and energy.

What You'll Get In Return

  • Competitive salary and job-related benefits
  • Holidays
  • Competitive matched pension contributions
  • Life insurance up to 4x salary
  • Company Share Save scheme
  • Greencore Qualifications
  • Exclusive Greencore employee discount platform
