What you\’ll be doing
As a Prep Team Leader Duties will involve:
- Providing a professional, high-quality service to Prep area following adequate training on specific equipment
- Ensuring that all operations on all equipment are performed to a professional, high-quality standard
- Being responsible for daily/hourly control and direction of a Prep team
- Oversee the Prep team to ensure efficient ingredient preparation and transfer for production lines
- Ensure compliance with site safety, health, and environmental procedures, setting an example for the team
- Monitor ingredient traceability and mixing accuracy, taking corrective action when necessary
- Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices, including hygiene protocols, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Coaching and supporting the prep team in the achievement of required target outputs
- Informing and updating Prep Management with regards to line availability
- Reporting any immediate major Engineering issues to the Line engineering Team for resolution
What we’re looking for
Full training will be provided if successful in this role but are looking for the following knowledge and experience:
- Ideally experience within a food manufacturing environment or similar environment
- Experience leading or overseeing a team (direct line management)
- Good Literacy and Numeracy skills
- Ability to work in a fast past, chilled environment
- Has a keen eye for detail and can demonstrate working in a safe manner and to good H&S practices
- Able to manage the team and follow management instructions and procedures
- Able to liaise and communicate with other departments
- Basic Awareness of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene
