Here at Spalding, we have a team of around 540 colleagues. We produce coleslaw, potato salad, salad bar bulk products (2kg), pasta salads and couscous/grains for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Morrisons, Co-op, Asda, Aldi, Sainsbury’s, Nando’s and Pizza Hut. Our Spalding site has a restaurant with hot food available to all our colleagues.
What you'll be doing:
- Manage and control stock, by maintaining accurate and auditable stock records within Greencore systems and third-party warehouses, critically differentiating between good and held stock.
- Optimise the efficiency of physical stock movements and stock transactions through Greencore and third-party systems, targeting complete stock integrity.
- Present and explain data to the commercial team to ensure that all risky stock is managed through to a customer sale or controlled disposal.
- Manage the timely and controlled progression of embargoed stock through the technical workflow system, ensuring that total embargoed stock is minimised by promptly processing releases, rework and disposals.
- Update, maintain and improve stock integrity.
- Validate and sign off received invoices to aid budget management.
What we’re looking for:
- You’re comfortable with standing for long periods of time, lifting and carrying, as well as other tasks such as cleaning.
- You have pride in the quality of the products you produce.
- You are a great team player - respectful and appreciative towards our Greencore Family.
- You are friendly, honest, and hardworking and enjoy some fun at work!
- Basic understanding of Health, Safety and Food Hygiene (although training will be given).
- Experience of a supplier-facing role in an FMCG environment.
- Demonstrates delivery of clear, factual and concise written and spoken communications in a customer-friendly manner.
- Excellent numeracy and analytic skills – experience with assembling relevant, accurate data and quickly pinpoints significant issues.
- Experience with problem solving and good attention to detail.
- Competent Microsoft Office user, specifically Excel, plus previous experience of ERP systems.
