Insight Manager
Location: Leeds Broadgate
Greencore seeks an Insight Manager to join our Insight Team within the Commercial Strategy Team. The role supports the business‑wide consumer and shopper Insight function, working with multiple stakeholders across the company and ensuring insight informs evidence‑driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Insight Lead to embed insight throughout the business.
- Act as a trusted advisor on consumer and shopper insights, delivering compelling outputs with clear messages, strong narratives and actionable recommendations.
- Work with Category Managers to provide consumer‑centric rationale for customer engagement and business decisions.
- Use primary, secondary, internal and external data sources to understand evolving consumer and shopper needs, identifying strategic implications.
- Support key strategic insight workstreams, ensuring outputs are commercially relevant, clearly structured and aligned to business priorities.
- Own and manage ad‑hoc tactical research requests—from objective clarification to design, delivery and impactful debriefing.
- Experiment with AI and emerging tools to enhance the insight process while maintaining quality and rigour.
- Collaborate with agency partners to deliver primary research, including briefing, proposal review, fieldwork, debriefs and sharing outputs across the business.
- Engage new agencies and industry bodies to keep Greencore at the forefront of consumer, shopper and research best practice.
- Assist with regular insight reporting, including the monthly Greencore Consumer Report and other insight topics.
- Help develop consumer drivers, insight frameworks, narratives and resources that resonate across the business and support strategic planning.
- Manage the internal insight library and associated training to ensure resources are easy to access and apply.
- Travel within the UK for internal meetings, customer visits and agency collaborations; a full UK driving licence and personal vehicle are required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience gathering, collating, analysing and interpreting information from multiple sources, with strong analytical reasoning to generate actionable consumer and shopper insights.
- Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with the ability to select and apply the appropriate approach, best practice and translate findings into business messages.
- Demonstrable background managing research projects and collaborative agency relationships.
- Curiosity and experimentation with AI, proactively exploring ways to improve efficiency across the insight process.
- Strong influencing, presentation and communication skills; able to build compelling narratives and articulate findings to stakeholders at all levels with clarity, confidence and energy.
- Commercial acumen and clear understanding of the business drivers that shape decision‑making.
