What you'll be doing
In this dynamic and challenging role as Senior Process Technologist, you will develop manufacturing capability to enable the business to turn product concepts into volume production. Once a product concept is approved, you will work across all functions and with the customer to ensure products are manufactured in line with food safety, technical, health & safety, financial, and commercial standards. You will also manage the delivery of successful product validations in accordance with Bakkavor and customer principles, driving results in a fast-paced and demanding environment while supporting business opportunities.
Role Accountabilities:
- People Management: Develop team via PDPs, align objectives with business goals, set SMART targets
- Planning & Analysis: Scope projects, define KPIs, drive innovation and improvements
- Influencing: Collaborate cross-functionally, shape concepts early, manage expectations, ensure timely launches
- Trials: Deliver against critical paths, solve issues, monitor budgets, validate results pre launch
- Customer Management: Run panels for approvals, meet business and customer standards
- Critical Path: Maintain medium-term plans, aligning trials to timelines and customer needs
- Financial Awareness: Track cost impacts, manage budgets, monitor margins, escalate risks
- Problem Solving: Apply root cause analysis, improve products, ensure repeatable manufacturing outcomes
- Compliance: Maintain audit readiness, validate food safety, approve documentation
