Greencoat Nursery are looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join our Bearwood Team! The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8am - 5:00pm, Term Time Only.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Nursery Practitioner to provide exceptional care for our Toddlers and Preschoolers. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting the early development of children in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Provide High-Quality Care: Ensure the children's safety, well-being, and developmental progress by creating a caring, secure, and nurturing environment.
- Plan and Deliver Activities: Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that stimulate babies' senses and support their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Support Early Learning: Follow the EYFS framework to observe, assess, and track each child's progress, helping to promote individual development.
- Maintain open communication with parents to provide updates on their child's progress, routines, and achievements.
- Promote Hygiene and Safety Standards: Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained at all times in the nursery and follow health and safety guidelines.
- Work effectively as part of a team to create a positive, supportive environment for both children and colleagues.
- Safeguard and Protect Children: Maintain a secure environment, being vigilant at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children in your care.
- Assist in the smooth transition for children moving into different rooms or activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Level 3 Childcare Qualification is essential.
- Experience in a Nursery or Early Years Setting is highly essential.
- Knowledge of the EYFS Framework and a strong understanding of child development.
- Excellent Communication Skills, both with children and adults (parents, colleagues).
- Patience, Empathy, and a Caring Nature to create a nurturing environment for babies.
- Ability to Observe, Record, and Reflect on children's progress to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their early development.
- First Aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training).
