What we offer:

- Work in a growing, international company with a start-up mentality
- Workplace in a central location in Saarbrücken with good transport connections
- Open and friendly working atmosphere
- Flexitime model with core working hours
Your profile:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience working on the construction of utility-scale solar PV, HV substations, or large electrical infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of DNO/ICP processes and construction requirements for grid connections in the UK.
- Familiarity with G99/G100, protection coordination, HV/LV installation standards, and grid compliance documentation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, SLDs, installation specs, and test reports.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with contractors, DNOs, and engineering teams.
- Comfortable working on active construction sites across the UK.
Desirable:
- Experience with solar PV, inverters, and HV substations.
- Knowledge of G99 commissioning and grid compliance testing.
- HV authorisation (DNO or private network).
- Experience working with plant controllers (PPC), reactive power systems, or hybrid PV+BESS connections.
Your mission:
- Coordinate with the DNO/ICP during all construction-related stages of the grid connection process.
- Review and validate detailed designs, drawings, SLDs, and protection schemes delivered by ICPs or subcontractors.
- Ensure that all grid connection requirements (G99, G100, protection settings, metering schemes) are fully incorporated into construction works.
- Provide technical oversight on HV/MV installations, including substations, switchgear, cables, and transformers.
- Monitor construction progress against grid connection milestones and ensure readiness for inspections and energisation.
- Review method statements, RAMS, and commissioning plans related to grid works.
- Attend DNO/ICP meetings, site inspections, and witness tests as required.
- Validate as-built documentation and ensure alignment with the approved connection design.
- Support the commissioning team during grid compliance testing and energisation activities.
- Ensure all works comply with UK electrical standards, DNO policies, and project specifications.
