Job Title: Mental Health Compliance Officer
Location: Sheffield
Hours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £28,250 per annum
Department: Mental Health
Reports to: Registered Service Manager, Sheffield

We are now seeking a committed and proactive Mental Health Compliance Officer to join our growing team in Sheffield, working within a supported accommodation that provides 24/7 care to individuals with complex mental health needs. This is a pivotal role that requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for maintaining high standards across both care and compliance.

Role Overview

The Mental Health Compliance Officer will provide essential compliance and administrative support to the Mental Health Registered Manager, Service Manager, and Team Leaders. You will oversee mandatory training compliance, maintain accurate records, and ensure all staff and service processes meet legal and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track the progress and completion of mandatory training for support workers and relief team members.
  • Maintain and update the departmental training matrix, highlighting outstanding modules to Team Leaders and Area Managers.
  • Liaise with the HR & Recruitment Manager to coordinate recruitment plans.
  • Schedule weekly CV reviews and participate in interviews for Mental Health Recovery Workers in line with recruitment plans.
  • Ensure Care Planner is consistently up to date with employee, worker, and client data, actively chasing outstanding information.
  • Gather and collate documentation for new starters, working with HR to ensure all compliance requirements are met.
  • Facilitate training and welcome meetings for new staff members.
  • Provide administrative support to Area Managers and the wider Mental Health team.

Manage invoices and chase any outstanding payments to ensure financial processes run smoothly.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience providing effective administrative support in busy environments.
  • Ability to collate and maintain comprehensive training matrices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening.
  • Strong collaborative skills to promote efficiency and best practice across teams.
  • Understanding of the needs and issues affecting vulnerable individuals.
  • Knowledge of compliance, safeguarding, and risk mitigation in support services.
  • Awareness of quality assurance principles and their impact on service provision.
  • Ability to implement and improve internal policies and procedures.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work independently using initiative.
  • Excellent IT, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Drive and/or live in close proximity to our office in S5 7NN

Desirable

  • Previous experience within mental health or social care settings.
