Greenberg-Larraby, Inc. (GLI) is looking for a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing venipunctures and blood draws on patients of all ages, ensuring a comfortable and safe experience throughout the process. Your attention to detail and patient care will be essential in accurately collecting and processing blood samples for laboratory analysis. Your duties will also include preparing samples for testing, maintaining equipment, and adhering to best practices in infection control and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws on patients, ensuring proper technique and safety.
- Prepare and label blood samples for transport to the laboratory.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace following infection control protocols.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures and answering any questions.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide assistance as needed.
- Document all procedures accurately in the electronic health record system.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomist experience is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program or equivalent experience.
- Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of blood collection procedures and safety protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
