Our client is recruiting Meter Readers across Bracknell, Wokingham, Camberley and surrounding areas, with additional opportunities across Guildford, Slough and the wider RG/GU area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, meeting customers and working independently.
What you'll be doing:
- Visit residential and other properties throughout your allocated area, collecting accurate readings from gas and electric meters using a hand-held electronic device and other equipment.
- Plan your own route and manage your workload, working towards weekly targets set by your Field Delivery Manager.
- Spend much of the day out in the field, which may occasionally involve longer distances to walk between properties.
Working hours:
- Full-time: Flexible working between 8am-8pm, Monday-Sunday, with the option of 40, 42 or 45 hours per week.
- Part-time: Friday: 4pm-8pm; Saturday-Sunday: 10am-6pm.
What we're looking for:

- Able to meet screening and vetting standards and pass a DBS check.
- Previous meter reading experience isn't required; full training is provided.
Training:
- 2 days office-based training.
- 3 days field training.
- Full training week is paid.
- Smart-casual dress for training.
- Uniform issued during induction.
- Parking expenses at the training location can be claimed back; please retain receipts.
