Due to continued demand, we are recruiting Meter Readers across the South East & Home Counties, covering Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Essex and Hertfordshire, with multiple vacancies available across key postcode areas.
- Kent: CT, TN (Canterbury, Tunbridge Wells, Margate)
- Sussex: BN, RH, PO (Brighton, Worthing, Chichester)
- Surrey: GU, KT, RH (Guildford, Epsom)
- Essex: CM, CO (Chelmsford, Colchester, Ipswich)
- Hertfordshire: WD, AL, EN (Watford, St Albans)
You will be allocated local postcode areas to minimise travel where possible.
The Role
As a Meter Reader, you will:
- Visit residential and commercial properties
- Read gas, electricity, and water meters
- Upload readings using a handheld device
- Work outdoors on pre-planned local routes
This is an active, field-based role involving regular walking and working in all weather conditions.
Salary & Benefits
- £13.23 - £13.97 per hour (location dependent)
- Weekly pay
- Company car provided

- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Flexible shifts between 8am - 8pm (Monday - Sunday)

Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to pass DBS and vetting checks
- Comfortable working independently
- Reliable, organised, and customer-focused
- No previous experience required - full training provided.
