The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated GP to join our hardworking multidisciplinary team, working 4-6 sessions per week. This post will be under the BMA model contract. We are accepting new ways of working to address clinical and workforce issues facing Primary Care. Our CQC rating is good.

Main duties of the job

  • Carry out patient consultations via telephone, face-to-face, online triage and occasional home visits where clinically appropriate.
  • Take part, pro rata, in the duty rota.
  • Prescribe in accordance with prescribing guidelines.
  • Process administrative tasks in a timely and efficient manner, including referrals, pathology results, clinic letters and discharge summaries, repeat prescriptions, and other documentation.
  • Maintain clear and accurate clinical records in line with agreed professional standards.
  • Refer patients for specialist input.
  • Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards including coding for QOF.

About us

We are a long-established, forward-thinking GMS practice located in Warrington serving a population of around 8000 patients. The practice has a friendly, supportive team. This consists of 3 GP Partners, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner Partner, 1 salaried GP, 2 practice nurses, 1 healthcare assistant, 2 Managers, 1 Supervisor and a team of 7 Administrators, plus ARRS staff. We are part of an active PCN and have good working relationships while sharing good practice with one another.

Person Specification

  • Experience of dealing with Chronic disease management.
  • Experience of Primary prevention & screening services.
  • Clinical Governance.
  • Delivery of QoF targets.
  • Self-audit and reflection.
  • Organised and efficient in record keeping and completion of paperwork.
  • Time management being able to prioritise work and work under pressure.
  • Experience of working in Primary Care.
  • Experience with Systmone TPP clinical system.
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Adaptability to change, use new ways of working.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.
  • Evidence of Annual appraisal and revalidation.
  • General practice (Vocational Training Scheme) trained.
  • On GP performers list.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • UK work permit.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • MRCGP.
  • Experience of teaching undergraduate students.
  • UK driving licence.
