Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Worker Bees Room and ensure smooth transitions to preschool.
- Work closely with Nursery and Preschool managers to coordinate age‑group transitions.
- Maintain a welcoming, positive atmosphere for children and families.
- Uphold high standards of care, safeguarding and wellbeing.
- Act as key person for a group of children – build trusting relationships and communicate progress to parents.
- Carry out regular observations and prepare annual progress reports.
- Plan and deliver engaging, child‑led activities that support independence and confidence.
- Manage behaviour using consistent, supportive strategies.
- Ensure a safe, clean learning environment and check resources for hazards.
- Collaborate with the wider early‑years team and attend staff meetings, training, and school events.
