We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance & Repairs Lead to take ownership of a high-performing housing maintenance service. This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering a customer-focused, compliant and cost-effective repairs and maintenance function, ensuring homes are safe, well-maintained and fit for purpose. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team delivering responsive repairs, cyclical maintenance and minor works projects, driving service improvements while maintaining strong financial and performance controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and motivate a team delivering responsive and planned maintenance services
- Oversee reactive repairs, cyclical programmes and improvement works to ensure quality and value for money
- Monitor contractor and supplier performance, holding them accountable for delivery standards
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, first-time fix rates and customer satisfaction
- Approve works, manage budgets and ensure financial compliance
- Contribute to long-term asset management and investment planning
- Handle complex technical issues including building defects and specialist investigations
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation, CDM regulations and asbestos management
- Respond to customer queries, complaints and escalations with professionalism and care
