An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Analyst to join a forward-thinking local authority housing service on an interim basis. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on service improvement, digital transformation and turning complex housing processes into practical, system-led solutions.
Working across homelessness, housing options, allocations, tenancies and repairs, you’ll play a key role in ensuring systems, data and processes support statutory compliance, operational efficiency and better outcomes for residents.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading business analysis activity across a range of housing services
- Mapping and redesigning end-to-end processes to improve performance, compliance and customer experience
- Acting as the lead for housing systems development, with a strong focus on Orchard (or similar housing management systems)
- Translating operational and statutory requirements into clear system specifications and change requests
- Working closely with ICT, software suppliers and service teams to deliver and embed system improvements
- Supporting repairs and asset management process and system improvements
- Improving data quality, reporting and dashboards to support performance management and statutory returns
- Engaging stakeholders at all levels and supporting change management activity
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst / Service Improvement professional within housing
- Strong understanding of local authority housing functions and statutory duties
- Hands-on experience with housing management systems (Orchard highly desirable)
- Excellent process mapping, requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement skills
- Confidence working with software suppliers and ICT teams
