You will work as part of a dedicated Contracts and Compliance team, supporting risk management, inspections, contractor oversight, and customer engagement. The role also includes general surveying duties, including visiting both occupied and empty properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update fire risk monitoring records, ensuring all remedial actions are tracked to completion.
  • Manage compliance activities across all “Big 6” safety areas, ensuring timely delivery of remedial actions and contractor performance.
  • Issue and monitor planned compliance works, ensuring they are prioritised correctly and completed within required timescales.
  • Carry out general surveying duties, including visiting tenanted and void properties.
  • Respond to customer enquiries and maintain clear communication across multiple channels.
  • Participate in customer engagement, using feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and external agencies to ensure smooth delivery of compliance responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong technical knowledge of building safety, fire safety, and health & safety regulations.
  • Understanding of building maintenance risks and compliance obligations.
  • Ability to interpret FRAs, prioritise actions, and manage remedial works effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver high‑quality compliance outcomes.
  • Excellent organisational, administrative, and IT skills (Microsoft Office).

Qualifications Required:

  • Good standard of general education.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification (desirable).
  • In‑depth understanding of building or fire safety frameworks, ideally supported by relevant professional qualifications (RICS, CIOB or equivalent).
