Interim (6 Months) £20–22 per hour (umbrella) Letchworth | Hybrid working

The Role

As a Compliance Co‑ordinator (Fire), you’ll support the delivery of the Fire Door Remedial Programme, ensuring essential repair and replacement works across communal areas and flat entrance doors (FEDs) are accurately scheduled, tracked, and completed. You’ll act as a central point of coordination between contractors, surveyors, and internal teams—monitoring progress, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring all compliance data is audit‑ready and up to date. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role where your accuracy, communication skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities will directly support resident safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate fire door remedial works across communal areas and FEDs
  • Raise, manage, and track contractor work orders, ensuring accurate data entry and completion monitoring
  • Review Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) and schedule required actions
  • Maintain compliance and asset data across Excel and QL, ensuring accuracy for audit purposes
  • Analyse contractor updates using Excel and Spreadsheet Compare, validating changes and data integrity
  • Act as a key liaison between contractors, surveyors, and internal teams
  • Monitor work in progress (WIP), ensuring tasks are updated and completed in line with compliance standards
  • Review servicing and maintenance certificates and upload them into ServiceSoft
  • Attend contractor management meetings and support programme delivery
  • Provide occasional cover for the asbestos programme

About You

  • Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data validation)
  • Experience using Spreadsheet Compare
  • Work order management and contractor coordination experience
  • Knowledge of compliance processes (housing/property/fire safety preferred)
  • Understanding of fire safety principles, including FD30 doors
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Analytical mindset with confidence reviewing data and reporting
  • Experience monitoring WIP and producing compliance‑focused reports
