Senior Data and Performance Analyst – Housing Services £500 a day inside IR35 Hyrbid - 2 days a week in office. Job Purpose: To lead the development and delivery of performance analysis, business intelligence, and data insight across Housing Services. The postholder will transform complex data into meaningful intelligence, supporting evidence-based decision-making, regulatory compliance, service improvement, and the achievement of strategic housing objectives. The role will proactively identify trends, risks, opportunities, and emerging issues, enabling managers and senior leaders to improve outcomes for residents and deliver value for money. The role will ensure performance information is not only reported, but interpreted and used to inform service improvement, assurance activity and management action. Key Responsibilities: Performance Monitoring and Reporting: · Develop and maintain regular Power BI performance reports and dashboards for service managers, senior leadership teams, committees, and external regulators. · Analyse service performance data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, exceptions and areas requiring intervention across high volume and high risk service areas such as repairs, voids, damp and mould, providing clear interpretation of what the data shows and what action may be required. · Develop, maintain, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across Housing Services, ensuring they remain meaningful, aligned to service priorities, regulatory requirements and improvement objectives. · Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across housing performance reporting. · Support the production of TSMs and regulatory submissions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. · Contribute to the development and enhancement of performance reporting systems and business intelligence solutions. · Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and improve data accessibility. · Support service areas with creation and interpretation of ad-hoc analysis . Essential Qualifications and Experience 1. Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, Public Administration) or equivalent experience. 2. Experience of developing and using data visualisation and reporting tools, including Power BI. 3. Experience working with large datasets from multiple systems. 4. Experience of mining data from databases, excel spreadsheets, and business intelligence systems. 5. Strong understanding of performance management frameworks and KPI development. 6. Experience of presenting analytical findings to non-technical audiences. 7. Knowledge of housing performance measures, tenant satisfaction requirements, and regulatory standards. Desirable Knowledge and Experience 1. Understanding of social housing legislation and regulatory frameworks. 2. Experience with housing management systems. 3. Knowledge of data quality management and governance principles. 4. Data Warehouse experience.
