Job Description Contracts Manager Salary: £52,247 per annum Location: Mixed Hours: 37 per week, Monday – Friday Are you a skilled contract professional ready to lead a high performing team and drive excellence in contract management? We’re looking for a Contracts Manager to join our Home & Community Maintenance team and take ownership of contract negotiation, delivery, and performance across multiple projects. What the role involves: As Contracts Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, responsible for: * Leading and developing a specialist contracts team. * Overseeing all aspects of contract management from procurement to performance monitoring. * Negotiating, drafting, and implementing contracts, with a focus on efficiency, compliance, and social value. * Managing contractor relationships to ensure high quality delivery, cost control, and continuous improvement. * Providing expert guidance on commercial, technical, and regulatory matters. * Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and CDM regulations. * Preparing financial reports, valuations, and performance analyses to inform strategic decisions. About you: * Significant experience in contract management, ideally within social housing, construction, or a related sector. * Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop others. * Expertise in financial analytics, risk management, and legal agreements. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with contractors, stakeholders, and colleagues. * Highly organized, methodical, and able to prioritize competing demands in a fast paced environment. * Familiarity with procurement legislation (PCR2015, PA23) and contract law. Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field (with contract law knowledge). * Desirable: RICS/CIOB accreditation, NEBOSH/IOSH qualification, or Commercial & Contract Management accreditation.
