Are you an experienced income management professional with a passion for maximising rent and service charge collection while supporting tenants to sustain their homes? We’re looking for a driven and proactive Arrears and Income Manager to take the lead in shaping and delivering effective arrears and income strategies.
The Role
As Arrears and Income Manager, you’ll be the key contact for all housing income matters, ensuring rent and service charge accounts are well managed and arrears are reduced. You’ll:
* Lead on developing arrears management processes and policies in line with legislation.
* Monitor arrears cases, recommend actions, and oversee recovery of current and former tenant arrears.
* Work closely with Finance, Operations and Housing teams to maximise income collection.
* Provide guidance and support to housing staff on arrears management and benefit-related issues.
* Produce accurate monthly reports, KPI monitoring, and support strategic decision-making.
* Lead annual rent increases and service charge reviews.
This role offers the chance to make a real impact – driving financial stability, supporting tenants, and strengthening housing services.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is not only confident with numbers and arrears processes, but also brings a customer-first approach when supporting tenants. You will need:
* At least 2 years’ experience in income management or a similar housing role.
* Strong background in social housing and income collection.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
* A collaborative approach, with the confidence to work across departments and with external partners.
* Solid IT and reporting skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
