Greenacre Environmental Systems is delighted to announce the expansion of their site team within Dewsbury as we look to hire a Mechanical Fitter to join us on a permanent basis. You will be working with established teams to assist in our continued successful delivery of projects across the UK for our clients within the Water industry. Please note this position will require flexibility on working location.
Some of Your Key Duties of the Role Include:
- Dismantle and re-assemble mechanical assemblies; primarily PVC-GRP ductwork and fans.
- Carry out pre-commissioning testing and commissioning procedures on installed ventilation systems.
- Complete inspections, fault identification and produce short reports on existing ventilation systems.
- Ensure quality, environmental and health and safety procedures are adhered to.
- Carry out preventative maintenance work on plant and equipment.
- Work alongside the project team to assist with the scheduling of upcoming projects.
- Assist other disciplines when required.
- Ensure safe use of hand tools, machinery, and other equipment.
- Ensure equipment is maintained to a high and safe standard.
What Do You Need?
- CSCS Card
- Demonstrable experience in ductwork installation.
- Skill in GRP glassing is advantageous but not required.
- The ability to understand and use schematics and maintenance drawings to analyse, assess, and find faults within these systems.
- To be organised and have the ability to plan a sequence of events, which are required to remove and reinstall components within a working system.
- Capable of self-checking work and to possess high personal standards with respect to Environment, Quality and Health & Safety.
- Water industry experience is useful but not required.
- Full UK driving licence.
