What Are We Looking For? Greenacre Environmental Systems is looking to grow our in-house Design team with the addition of a Design Manager to join us on a permanent basis in our Dewsbury office. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a small team of CAD Engineers and work with our Delivery team to deliver specialist ventilation system projects. The Design Manager will provide guidance and leadership to design personnel, be involved in the day-to-day work scheduling, prioritising workload and progress reporting. In addition, the Design Manager will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of all design requirements. Some of Your Key Duties of the Role Include: * Provide technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration across multiple client engagements from definition phase through to implementation. * Day-to-day work scheduling of the team, setting priorities and reporting progress. * Create and execute development plans across multiple projects and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. * Be fully aware of design and drawing procedures, ensuring all design work is compliant with Greenacre procedures. * Resolve design issues between reviewers/checkers and drawing/document originators to ensure a consistent yet compliant approach is achieved. * Manage multiple technical teams within budget and project schedules. * Provide leadership to staff and sub-contract design personnel on workload, priorities, and design compliance. * Manage client interaction and expectations across our design engagement. * Participate in all programmes relating to performance evaluations and career development planning. * Mentor the Design Office team and other staff members through formal and informal channels. What Do You Need? * A Degree/HND/HNC in Engineering or equivalent. * Proven experience in a design lead position. * Experience of managing design teams. * Knowledge of sheet metal or plastic fabrication would be beneficial. * Good project management knowledge including all aspects of project development, design, construction, and commissioning. * Experience in personnel management. * A good understanding of mechanical, and electrical disciplines. * Persuasive, encouraging and motivating skills. * Full UK Driving Licence Greenacre – Who Are We?
