Job Description

We are actively looking to engage with either experienced freight forwarders or graduates with a passion for freight forwarding and shipping for a new role as a Shipping Operations Co-ordinator in Manchester!\\n\\nClient Details\\n\\nMy client is a market-leader in the shipping industry and has offices based across the world including the Americas, Africa, the Far East with a regional head office based in Europe. You will be joining a fast-pace environment assisting in finding logistics solutions for some of the world's largest industrial, retail & FMCG based customers. My client focuses on searching air freight, sea freight & road freight solutions, which are both cost effective & time sensitive.\\n\\nJob Description\\n\\nAs an Shipping Operations Co-ordinator you will report in to the International Freight Operations Manager on a daily basis.

You will be responsible for the following areas for responsibility across the Manchester office:\\n\\n * Manage air, sea & ocean freight import and export bookings including pricing, quotations, end-to-end shipping and customs documentations.\\n\\n * Documents of Operations and transportation (booking, airway bills and loading confirmation)\\n\\n * Nominating carriers, airlines and GSA in-line with rates, OTIF value and customer requirements in line with a variety of INCOTerms.\\n\\n * Raise additional customs documentation to ensure the freight can move from country to country (ISF,COO, clearance documentation etc)\\n\\n * Customer rate analysis on route guidance, whilst monitoring and secure allocations and operation efficiency\\n\\n * Develop and build relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to clients with a knowledge of the clients business requirements\\n\\nThe Ideal Candidate\\n\\nThe successful candidate will have an background in ocean and air freight forwarding across both import and export. Additionally, you could be a graduate looking to gain your first role within the Freight Forwarding industry. The ideal Shipping Operations Co-ordinator will have the following skills and experience:\\n\\n * 1+ years' experience in shipping and / or freight forwarding in either air, sea or road freight forwarding.\\n\\n * Experience of pricing, quotation and planning customer deliveries across air, sea or road freight.\\n\\n * Excellent customer service experience\\n\\n * Desire to grow a career within freight forwarding and shipping logistics.\\n\\n * Commutable to Manchester\\n\\nWhat's On Offer?\\n\\n * £27,500-£29,500\\n\\n * Company wide profit bonus scheme\\n\\n * 32 days annual leave\\n\\n * Comprehensive company benefits account.\\n\\n * Large opportunities to progress knowledge and job banding
