The Children’s Home Registered Manager will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of a residential home for children and young people, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment. Responsibilities include managing and supervising staff, implementing care plans, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting the development and well‑being of children under care. This is a full‑time and on‑site role located in Hadleigh, requiring strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills to uphold the highest standards of care and provide a positive impact on young lives.
Qualifications
- Experience of children’s home residential sector.
- Experience working with children and young people, with a focus on promoting their safety, welfare, and personal development.
- Knowledge and application of trauma‑informed practices and therapeutic frameworks.
- Proficiency with regulatory compliance and ensuring adherence to relevant care standards and guidelines established by Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, children, families, and external stakeholders.
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification is required.
- Experience working within the social care or residential sector, particularly with children, is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.
