Join a high-performing global mechanical engineering team delivering next-generation vehicle and chassis solutions—from clean-sheet concept through to production. This role leads the design and development of critical suspension and structural systems while guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, manufacturable, and high-performance products.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the concept, architecture, and detailed 3D design of complex mechanical systems including subframes, suspension knuckles, control arms, steering links, and related assemblies
- Manage and mentor a team of design engineers, driving technical excellence and on-time delivery
- Deliver detailed engineering outputs: stress calculations, FMEAs, tolerance stack-ups, 2D drawings, layouts, and technical documentation
- Collaborate closely with simulation/FEA, manufacturing, and process engineering teams to ensure validation, durability, NVH, and DFMA compliance
- Own and manage Bills of Materials and design data within PLM systems
- Interface with suppliers and cross-functional engineering groups to ensure timely information flow and project execution
- Support or lead small-to-mid-size engineering programs as Lead Designer or system owner
What You Bring
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Significant experience in mechanical design engineering focused on vehicle, chassis, suspension, or steering systems
- Strong grounding in engineering fundamentals, vehicle dynamics, durability, and interpretation of FEA/CFD results
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and DFMA principles
- High-level proficiency in GD&T and production-grade technical drawing creation
- Advanced CAD capability (CATIA V5 preferred) and experience with PLM systems (Windchill desirable)
- Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring engineering teams
- Strong analytical, communication, and technical documentation skills
