The Role

As Chief Technical Specialist, you'll provide expert technical leadership in the design and development of advanced power conversion systems, including traction inverters, DC‑DC converters, and onboard chargers. You'll guide projects from concept through to production, ensuring world‑class performance, reliability, and compliance. Beyond technical delivery, you'll play a key role in shaping technology roadmaps, supporting business development, and representing the organisation at industry forums and conferences as a recognised authority in the field.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design, development, and testing of power electronics solutions.
  • Define technology strategies and roadmaps in electrification.
  • Support proposals and customer engagement with deep technical expertise.
  • Mentor engineers and champion best practices in design, validation, and EMC compliance.
  • Build strong external visibility as a thought leader in power electronics.

About You

  • Globally recognised expertise in power electronics and magnetics across multiple sectors (automotive, aerospace, defence, clean energy, etc.).
  • Proven track record in high‑voltage, high‑power design, including SiC, IGBT, GaN devices, gate drivers, and protection schemes.
  • Strong experience in digital/mixed‑signal control, EMC design, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent customer‑facing and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of electric motor technologies and digital control.
  • Experience with high‑voltage test facilities and thermal/EMC simulation tools.
  • Track record of leading major multi‑disciplinary development projects.
