Green Synergy is seeking an experienced Contracts and Projects Delivery manager to manage the development and operational day-to-day management and delivery of the Adult and Children’s contracts and projects delivered within our Green Synergy charity.

\n

We are seeking an effective people manager with experience of managing staff and volunteers within the operational delivery of community development projects. You will need effective organisational skills and be an engaging communicator.

\n

This role is responsible for the contracts and project’s delivery for the garden, project management, development and supervision of both adult and children’s projects. You will need to be able to develop and deliver effective project and contract management with experience of performance management, monitoring and evaluating activity back to funders.

Purpose of Role:

\n

The Contracts and Projects Delivery Manager will be a member of our Senior Management Team and will be responsible for the overall development and operational day-to-day management and delivery of the Adult and Children’s contracts and projects delivered within our Green Synergy charity. Please note this is a practical leadership position which includes delivery of programmes and sessions on the garden.

Responsibilities

    \n
  • Staff and volunteer management - provide effective management and supervision for staff and volunteers including recruitment, inductions, training, supervisions and appraisals.
  • \n

  • Delivering and managing the contracts and projects delivery of mental health and wellbeing gardening and therapeutic horticulture sessions on the garden and outreach for our adult and children’s programmes.
  • \n

  • Contracts and project design and delivery - overseeing the design and delivery of seasonal programmes of therapeutic horticulture and community gardening sessions tailored to the needs of beneficiaries.
  • \n

  • Contract and project targets and outcomes - ensuring the delivery of projects are on track, on target and managing interventions to ensure effective delivery.
  • \n

  • Contract and project monitoring and evaluation - collating and ensuring appropriate management information, monitoring reports and evaluations to funders, partners and our Board.
  • \n

  • Contract and project records - ensure colleagues maintain up-to-date project records are kept including participant registers, weekly project journal, participant surveys.
  • \n

  • Project budgets - working with the CEO and Finance and Office Assistant to ensure all contracts and projects are delivered within budget parameters.
  • \n

  • Overall contract and project performance and quality assurance - working together with the CEO to monitor, evaluate and improve projects.
  • \n

  • Health and safety - ensuring that staff, volunteers and beneficiaries are trained and adhere to the relevant health and safety legislation, policies and procedures and that activities are undertaken in accordance with our risk assessments.
  • \n

  • Safeguarding - undertake role of joint designated safeguarding lead with the CEO. (See safeguarding policy for further details on responsibilities).
  • \n

  • Contracts and project engagement - conducting stakeholder consultations and supporting effective project engagement plans.
  • \n

  • Contracts and project promotion and communications - overseeing the effective promotion of the projects to ensure the activity reaches as wide an audience as possible.
  • \n

  • Oversee, coordinate and deliver project events to raise the profile, reach and income of the charity.
  • \n

  • Income generation- working together with CEO and projects team to develop income generating ideas, including training courses and writing funding bids.
  • \n

  • Partnership development that creates appropriate partnerships with organisations, charities and community groups to enable effective contract and project delivery.
  • \n

  • Attending meetings relevant to funders and contract and project delivery.
  • \n

  • To undertake any other reasonable duties to support the charitable activities of Green Synergy, such as fundraising or community engagement events.

  • Work effectively and considerately with other Green Synergy employees and volunteers to promote the aims and objectives of Green Synergy and present a positive image of Green Synergy to members and the public.
  • \n

  • Promote Green Synergy’s values and as an ambassador for the charity.
