Position Overview
Green Street seeks highly motivated candidates with relevant work experience and superior academic credentials to join its Research Market Analytics team. Green Street’s Market Analytics team offers the unique opportunity to help develop a new product line and produce market-level insights across property sectors within an acclaimed research group.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and publish a wide range of macroeconomic and market-focused reports (Quick Takes and insights)
- Collect, organize, and analyze real estate information on markets and submarkets throughout Europe
- Build and maintain complex financial models and databases
- Become an expert of Green Street’s research methodologies and valuation framework to be able to communicate effectively with clients
- Closely follow and understand real estate market activity and the impact of news events on specific sectors, markets, and assets
- Analyze diverse data to form a cohesive macroeconomic and real estate outlook
- Become a proactive written communicator with Sales team (ability to interpret private market activity, and news), along with some oral communication
- Participate in calls and meetings with institutional investors, and private-market contacts to begin building relationships
- Demonstrate resourcefulness by seeking out new and creative sources of information
- Ad-hoc and administrative tasks as needed
Candidate Profile
In addition to a strong work ethic and motivation to learn, the Senior Associate position requires the following skills: meticulous attention to detail, strong financial data analysis skills, exceptional communication abilities (both written and verbal), high-level of organization, creativity and resourcefulness. Strong analytical skills and a background in finance are required. The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in finance, accounting, real estate, economics, or a related field or significant experience in financial services and/or commercial real estate. Master’s degree is preferred.
- 2-4 years’ experience in real estate, capital markets, or conducting financial/economic research; investment banking experience a plus
- The ability to multi-task effectively while maintaining accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
- Must enjoy writing research reports, problem solving, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Expert Excel skills
- Familiarity with R, SAS, or other statistical packages/programs or coding skills in SQL, Python or other database/programming applications a plus
Compensation, Benefits and Work Authorization
In addition to a basic salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements). Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions. Green Street will not sponsor or transfer employment work visas for this position. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United Kingdom without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
