We are seeking a highly motivated Conference Producer to develop, research, and deliver market-leading events for the infrastructure investment and project financing community. This role combines strategic market analysis, innovative and thought-provoking content development, industry-beating speaker acquisition, and project management to create high-quality conferences, which challenge the status quo, attended by institutional investors, lenders, developers, advisors, and policymakers.
The ideal candidate is intellectually and commercially curious, an excellent communicator, and passionate about how to bring new angles to established ideas within the industry, to life. We are looking for a trailblazing writer with an interest in asking the uncomfortable questions that attract the most senior stakeholders in the infrastructure industry.
Job Responsibilities- Content & Research
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends that matter to the most senior industry stakeholders in infrastructure investment and development, across sectors such as energy (oil and gas, renewables, storage, hydrogen), transportation, digital infrastructure, power and transmission.
- Understand the key players in the entire infrastructure value chain, from the allocating LP to the executing GP, and from the developer to all the advisory functions feeding into the industry.
- Develop conference themes, agendas, and session formats that reflect the strategic priorities of investors, asset managers, and project sponsors.
- Create innovative session formats, from debates to theoretical case studies gone wrong, and from panel discussions to out-of-the-box keynotes, designed to challenge and engage with the audience.
- Write content which binds the different audience types together.
- Speaker Acquisition
- Identify, approach, and secure high-level speakers including institutional investors, developers, asset managers, policymakers, and technical experts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives and industry influencers.
- Deliver a balanced, diverse, and commercially relevant roster of speakers.
- Event Development & Management
- Own the full production cycle, from initial concept to event delivery, for multiple conferences per year.
- Work closely with sales, marketing and operations teams to optimise commercial performance and attendee experience.
- Feed sales leads into the sponsorship team and participate on sales calls, bringing industry and content knowledge to the pitch process.
- Collaborate with sponsors to integrate content appropriately while maintaining editorial integrity.
- Commercial Insight
- Identify new event opportunities, formats, and geographies based on market gaps.
- Analyse event performance and participant feedback to refine future agendas.
- A proven intellectual curiosity and the ability to see through the headlines to understand the real driving forces of market dynamics.
- Exceptional research and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with complex financial and technical topics.
- Excellent written communication skills for agenda writing, speaker outreach, and market analysis.
- A journalistic flare with an impulse to challenge the status quo and cut through marketing rhetoric, always asking the question, “who benefits?”
- Confidence in engaging senior‑level stakeholders (Chief Investment Officers, heads of infrastructure, managing directors, policy leaders).
- Highly organised with strong project‑management capabilities.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- A can‑do and an optimistic attitude, ready to work with others, bring energy to projects, and with a strong work ethic.
- Experience producing conferences, roundtables, or content in financial services, infrastructure, or energy markets.
- Knowledge of institutional investors (pension funds, insurers, sovereign funds), lenders, and infrastructure asset managers.
- Understanding of PPP/P3 structures, project finance fundamentals, and the infrastructure asset classes.
In addition to a basic salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements). Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
