Responsibilities

  • Digest and analyze earnings reports, listen to conference calls and read transcripts.
  • Support a Senior Analyst in preparing and publishing a wide range of research reports.
  • Write first drafts of sector Quick Takes and portions of research reports.
  • Understand implications and impact of news events and economic forces on companies, sectors, and assets.
  • Value REITs using quantitative and qualitative analyses.
  • Communicate proactively with the Sales team, interpreting press releases, private‑market activity, and news.
  • Participate in calls and meetings with REIT management teams, institutional investors, and private‑market contacts to build relationships.
  • Seek out new creative sources of information.
  • Develop knowledge of the assigned sector and Green Street's overall research framework.
  • Perform ad‑hoc and administrative tasks as needed.

  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong financial modeling, valuation, and research skills.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience conducting financial/economic research on publicly traded real‑estate securities, general securities, and capital markets.
  • Interest in pursuing the CFA designation.
  • Coding skills and familiarity with SQL/python considered a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial statements and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to multi‑task effectively while maintaining accuracy.
