Purpose
This pivotal role in our business involves contributing to and executing the business strategies and targets for all three of our Direct websites: Green Sheep Group, Snüz & The Little Green Sheep. Your day-to-day will see you working alongside the Ecommerce Manager to plan, create and bring to life our digital marketing campaigns and product launches.
This is a hands-on role which will allow someone to take ownership, management and optimisation of our direct-to-consumer websites, ensuring each channel can reach its sales and profitability targets.
Key disciplines and associated responsibilities include:
- Working alongside the ecommerce manager you’ll develop and execute digital campaigns and product launches in line with the overall marketing strategy.
- Responsible for the ongoing management and optimisation of our direct-to-consumer websites and content, ensuring the channel can reach its sales and profitability targets.
- Identify trading opportunities and monitor consumer trends whilst tracking onsite activity to find ways to unlock further revenues.
- Working closely with the content team to execute pre and post purchase email campaigns, driving direct sales through customer centric activity, personalisation, and recommendations.
- Liaise with development agency to implement and monitor SEO strategies to drive organic sessions and conversions.
- Collect onsite data and carry out research to improve both websites and to inform the wider business.
- Identify opportunities to increase page views, value per page view and ensure customers are connected simply and easily to the products they want to buy quickly and simply.
- Contribute to weekly reporting for our Direct online trading performance, making recommendations where necessary and attending relevant trade meetings to represent the digital team when required.
- Actively promote new technology or marketing trends across eCommerce, specifically online trading, championing new ways of working.
- Ensure products are set up accurately and timely across our Direct websites.
- Working closely with merchandising ensure maximum product availability by manging stock forecasts, outperformance and clearly communicate to relevant colleagues.
- Ensure campaigns are delivered across our digital platforms in line with direction and timing set out by marketing or the sales promotional calendar.
- Identify opportunities for growth through data driven insight, you will be the lead analytical mind driving plans and feeding into strategy for the future growth of our online businesses.
- Manage third party relationships with key external parties where relevant.
Knowledge & Skills
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in digital marketing (direct to consumer retail) or in a similar role.
- Excellent writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- You\’ll have a strong understanding of digital marketing and a keen eye for copy and visuals that help merchandise our site and products.
- Experience and understanding of using Google Analytics.
- Strong understanding of conversion tracking.
- Confident in managing your own schedule and time management.
- Experience of crafting campaigns from scratch, with clear measurable goals outlined.
- Strong project management skills; highly organised and proactive.
- Agile & positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
- A full clean driving license.
