Green Retreats is the UK’s leading garden room company, established in 2005 and proudly family‑run. From our Buckinghamshire headquarters we design, manufacture and install beautifully crafted garden room buildings that transform how our customers live and work at home, from calm home offices and creative studios to guest spaces and luxury garden retreats. Everything we do is handled entirely in‑house, from the first customer conversation through to manufacture, installation and aftercare.
As part of our continued growth, we’re looking for a Sales & Design Consultant to join our friendly, motivated team at Westcott. This is a varied, design‑led role that blends customer‑facing sales with organisation, administration and genuine customer care.
What the role involves:
- Customer engagement & consultative sales: Act as a key point of contact for customers in the early stages of their project, responding to enquiries by phone, email and in person. Build strong relationships by understanding how customers plan to use their space and what matters most to them. Guide customers confidently through their buying journey, from enquiry to confirmed order, in a calm, consultative way. Follow up warm leads and ongoing enquiries to support conversions and contribute to team targets. Manage and book showroom visits and on‑site consultation appointments efficiently.
- Design, quotations & administration: Prepare accurate, well‑presented quotations following showroom visits, virtual consultations or site discussions. Help customers explore suitable designs, layouts and options, working closely with the wider sales and design team. Collect and process customer deposits and confirm orders once customers are ready to proceed. Ensure all customer details, specifications and paperwork are complete, accurate and clearly presented. Organise and tidy sales paperwork to a high standard before handing projects over to the customer care team. Keep CRM records fully up to date so each customer journey is clearly documented and easy to manage.
- Showroom & team support: Deliver engaging showroom tours and personalised design discussions. Support the smooth day‑to‑day running of the showroom, maintaining a professional and welcoming environment. Work collaboratively with sales, design and customer care colleagues to ensure customers feel well looked after from first enquiry through to installation.
What we’re looking for:
- Have experience in a customer‑facing sales, sales support or sales administration role.
- Enjoy building genuine rapport and helping customers feel confident in their decisions.
- Have a good eye for detail and enjoy keeping paperwork and systems organised.
- Are calm, friendly and professional in your communication style.
- Can work independently while being a reliable part of a wider team.
- Are comfortable using CRM systems and basic IT tools.
- Hold a clean UK driving licence and have your own transport.
Pay, commission & hours:
- Salary: £26,000–£27,000 per annum (depending on experience).
- Commission: Monthly team‑based commission paid in arrears.
- OTE: £34,500 per annum.
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, 9am‑5pm (half‑hour paid lunch break).
- Weekend work: 2 days in every 4 weekends (taken as a day in lieu or paid at £20/hour).
Benefits & perks:
- 20 days paid holiday plus bank holidays (1 additional day per year of service, up to 3 extra days).
- Company pension scheme.
- Bonus and commission scheme.
- Comprehensive training and ongoing support.
- Employee Assistance Programme and mental health support.
- My PERKS scheme: discounts and cashback on shopping, travel, entertainment, gyms, massages and more.
- Friendly, supportive, high‑performing team across two showrooms (Westcott and Twickenham).
