The Green Recruitment Company is working with a Telecommunication group seeking an Installations Technician with Telecommunications and hosted VOIP background. This is a Remote Field-Based Support and Installations role that reports directly into Client Services. This role would be ideal for a telecommunications technician with hosted VoIP knowledge, familiar with cloud-based communications solutions, along with experience in both fixed and mobile telecoms, wireless configuration and a knowledge of challenges faced by businesses in relation to telecoms and connectivity in this rapidly evolving industry. The role offers an opportunity to develop into leading a small support team.
The Telecommunications Technician will be responsible for technical support, configuration and installation maintenance of customer products and services towards a smooth transition from their previous service provider, as well as providing prompt and timely resolutions to service interruptions.
Requirements:
- Qualifications required: SCQF Level 5 or 6 English and Maths, SCQF Level 5 Physics; ITIL Foundation
- UK Drivers licence & access to vehicle: Personal vehicle use for business purposes is an essential requirement for site visits, mainly around Scotland Belt.
- Minimum of 3 yearsβ experience working within a technical support installation technician role in the telecoms industry.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Hosted VOIP.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in networking and Wifi.
- Experience of dealing with third party service providers.
- Experience using Ms Office and working on a CRM Systems.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience working with Gamma, 8x8, NFON products.
- Experience working with Draytek and Unifi managed hardware.
