With strong expertise in solar technology and a firm commitment to sustainability, the company delivers tailored, end‑to‑end services – from initial consultation and system design through to professional installation and ongoing support – making the adoption of clean energy simple and accessible across the UK.
We are looking for a hands‑on Technical Manager to oversee site surveys, structural and wind load assessments, and pre‑installation planning across the South East. This is a key role, ensuring all projects are technically robust, fully compliant, and delivered efficiently from initial survey through to installation.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out site surveys across Sussex, Surrey, and Kent for solar PV, battery storage, backup systems, and EV charging installations, including structural and wind load assessments, site suitability checks, and system design validation in line with technical standards and client requirements.
- Review and validate project costs against survey findings, ensuring alignment with sales proposals, identifying risks, variations, and opportunities for cost optimisation without compromising quality or safety.
- Specify and procure materials, including mounting systems, using approved suppliers and products, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards while liaising with procurement on supplier and product performance.
- Assess and define site access requirements and produce installation‑ready plans and method statements, ensuring all structural, safety, and logistical factors are considered prior to installation.
- Manage DNO requirements by identifying connection needs, capturing technical data during surveys, and working with compliance teams to submit and track applications, approvals, and conditions in line with grid regulations.
- Define labour, equipment, and programme requirements for each project, working closely with installation teams and operations to support efficient delivery, improve methodology, and ensure technical consistency on site.
- Maintain survey data, structural calculations, and project documentation, producing installation and handover packs to support compliance and audit requirements.
