Graduate Accounts Assistant – Energy Sector in Southampton

We’re seeking a motivated Finance Graduate | Accounts Assistant to join a growing finance team in the energy sector, with a focus on Purchase Ledger activities. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance or accounting graduate looking to kickstart their career within the renewable energy and sustainability industry.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience in core finance operations while being supported to develop your professional skills and progress within a dynamic and purpose‑driven organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and maintain purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Support the accounts payable process and reconcile supplier statements
• Assist with month‑end close activities and cost reporting
• Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve invoice or payment queries
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
• Provide general assistance to the wider finance team as required

About You

• Finance, Accounting, or Business graduate with about 1-2 years\’ experience
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive and organised approach
• Confident using Excel and financial systems
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Keen to develop a career in finance within the renewable energy and sustainability space
