Our client, a leading advisory firm specializing in energy transition solutions, is seeking a Renewable Energy Advisor to support businesses in achieving their Net-Zero goals. This role plays a key part in driving corporate engagement with renewable energy solutions, leveraging innovation, technology, and expertise to enable emission reductions and effective energy management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a network of reputable Renewable Project Developers across Europe to facilitate Corporate Renewable Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and procurement of Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs).
  • Apply and refine qualification methodologies to assess and select suitable developers and counterparties, ensuring comprehensive documentation of selection processes, risk assessments, and NDA agreements.
  • Establish insights into partners’ project portfolios, pipelines, and business model requirements to contribute to successful renewable energy transactions.
  • Engage with corporate clients to support stakeholder alignment and develop renewable energy strategies, including EAC purchasing strategies and risk management.
  • Assist business development initiatives by providing expert knowledge on renewable energy instruments, market trends, and pricing structures.
  • Stay up to date on emerging renewable energy solutions and frameworks from organizations such as SBTi, RE100, and CDP.
  • Offer market intelligence and regulatory insights on renewable transactions, covering instruments such as offsite and onsite PPAs, Virtual PPAs, Certificate Purchasing Agreements, and Energy Attribute Certificates.
  • Obtain price quotes for global EAC purchases and support procurement tracking and cancellation/redeeming processes in relevant country registries.
  • Contribute to internal training and development initiatives to enhance team expertise.
  • Participate in skills training and maintain certifications as required.
  • Support other advisory services and corporate engagements as needed.

Key Performance Metrics:

  • Number of renewable transactions supported.
  • Contribution to advisory services’ gross margin on transactions.
  • Growth of developer network meeting quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, business, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Corporate Renewable Power Purchase Agreements.
  • Commercial and technical expertise in renewable energy project development, financing, construction, and operations.
  • Experience working with developers, investors, utilities, and corporate buyers in renewable energy transactions.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with confidence in engaging senior management.
  • In-depth knowledge of European energy markets, regulatory policies, and competitive dynamics.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with a strong work ethic.
  • High proficiency in English with international experience.
