We're seeking a skilled Power Systems Engineer to join a leading energy infrastructure developer with a global portfolio of renewable energy projects. The team delivers renewable energy projects entirely in-house—from design and planning to construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grid Connection & Compliance: Conduct feasibility studies and manage grid connection applications for renewable and digital infrastructure projects.
- Energy Capacity Reviews: Assess network capacity, develop reinforcement strategies, and resolve congestion or voltage issues.
- Grid Market Intelligence: Keep up-to-date with emerging codes, policies, and technical standards; recommend operational improvements.
- DNO Management: Manage relationships with Distribution Network Operators and oversee grid connection approvals.
- Technical Expertise: Apply knowledge of electricity transmission & distribution networks, substation design, and power system analysis tools.
- Collaboration & Innovation: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimize project efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years' experience in renewable energy and UK grid systems.
- Expertise in power system analysis tools (e.g., DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSSE, PSCAD, ETAP).
