We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Group Marketing Manager to lead and shape the marketing function for a rapidly growing renewable energy group. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing, data-driven lead generation engine that consistently delivers high-quality customer enquiries and supports sales growth across key UK regions. In addition to customer acquisition, you will oversee brand development, content strategy, public relations, and wider group marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a data-driven marketing strategy focused on generating high-quality leads and supporting revenue growth across key UK markets.
  • Plan, manage, and optimise multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, email, SEO, events, content, video, and emerging platforms.
  • Own and manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximise return on investment and customer acquisition.
  • Work closely with the sales team to improve lead quality, conversion rates, and overall customer acquisition performance.
  • Manage the full customer marketing journey, from lead generation and nurturing through to customer retention, upselling, and referral programmes.
  • Drive website, landing page, and customer journey optimisation through testing, analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build and oversee marketing automation workflows and CRM campaigns, leveraging HubSpot to improve engagement and conversion.
  • Lead brand development and positioning, ensuring consistent messaging and a strong market presence across all business divisions.
  • Manage public relations activities, external agencies, designers, and creative partners to support brand awareness and demand generation.
  • Develop and deliver engaging content, including customer case studies, educational resources, and digital marketing assets that drive qualified enquiries.
  • Establish robust reporting and analytics frameworks, tracking key performance indicators including lead generation, conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and marketing ROI.
  • Produce actionable performance insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and continuous optimisation.
  • Lead and develop the marketing function, managing direct reports and external partners while supporting the growth of the wider team.
  • Oversee marketing activities across multiple business units, ensuring a cohesive and scalable group-wide marketing approach.

Requirements:

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Proven track record of building, managing, and scaling successful B2C lead generation programmes, with experience in direct-to-consumer (D2C) environments highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing strategies independently, taking full ownership of performance, lead generation outcomes, and revenue contribution.
  • Experience operating as a senior marketing professional within a fast-paced, high-growth, or startup environment, with the confidence to work autonomously and make strategic decisions.
  • Strong hands-on experience across performance marketing channels, including paid advertising, SEO, email marketing, and digital acquisition campaigns.
  • Proven experience managing marketing budgets and optimising spend to maximise return on investment and lead generation performance.
  • Strong understanding of customer acquisition funnels, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), and data-driven marketing methodologies.
  • Experience using CRM and marketing automation platforms, ideally HubSpot, with the ability to build, optimise, and manage automated customer journeys.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret marketing performance data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Comfortable presenting results, recommendations, and performance metrics directly to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
