With an active pipeline of greenfield and late-stage development projects, as well as operating assets generating stable cashflows, the company is expanding its corporate finance and capital markets capabilities to support accelerated growth.
Role Overview
The Vice President, Corporate Finance, will lead capital raising, structured finance, project financing, and strategic financial planning activities for the business. This is a senior role responsible for driving funding strategy across the platform, optimising the capital structure, evaluating M&A opportunities, and guiding investment decisions. The VP will work closely with the executive team, board, development leads, and external investors to ensure the company is well-capitalised to meet its growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Capital Raising & Investor Engagement
- Lead equity and debt fundraising processes at corporate and project levels, including negotiation of term sheets, valuation, and due diligence coordination.
- Build and maintain relationships with infrastructure funds, banks, strategic investors, and credit providers.
- Develop investor materials, financial narratives, and presentations for existing and prospective capital partners.
- Project & Structured Finance
- Oversee project financing for renewable and biogas assets (construction financing, term loans, tax equity, mezzanine facilities, etc.).
- Optimise capital structures for individual assets and portfolios to maximise returns and minimise cost of capital.
- Support bidding processes, offtake negotiations, and commercial structuring by providing financial insights.
- Corporate Strategy & Financial Planning
- Lead long-range financial planning, capital allocation modelling, and scenario analysis across the development pipeline.
- Provide strategic direction on portfolio optimisation, refinancing, asset rotation, and potential joint ventures.
- Advise executive leadership on corporate growth strategy, funding priorities, and market opportunities.
- M&A & Transactions
- Drive buy-side and sell-side transactions including acquisitions, divestments, and platform-level strategic partnerships.
- Perform valuation, financial modelling, and due diligence oversight.
- Assess the economic viability of new markets or technology lines, including biogas expansion opportunities.
- Financial Leadership & Governance
- Work with the CFO to enhance financial governance, reporting, and investor-grade analytics.
- Ensure robust risk management practices across interest rate, counterparty, and liquidity exposures.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the corporate finance and investment teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- 6-8 years' experience in corporate finance, investment banking, project finance, or private equity—ideally with a focus on energy infrastructure.
- Strong track record leading debt/equity raises, project financing, or M&A transactions in renewables, biogas, or infrastructure.
- Expert financial modelling, valuation, and structuring capabilities.
- Deep understanding of renewable energy project economics, PPA structures, and relevant regulatory/market frameworks.
- Experience working within a developer, IPP, or investment platform is highly advantageous.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and investors.
